The Leydet family have been producing wines in the heart of Bordeaux’s right bank since 1862. Today, Château Leydet-Valentin, Château de Valois and Château La Croix St. Vincent are managed by Frederic Leydet. Located in the Southern part of the Pomerol plateau, Château La Croix St. Vincent’s vineyards are farmed while adhering to organic practices with emphasis on minimal intervention. The vineyard officially became organic certified in 2012.
Château La Croix St. Vincent is a Merlot dominant blend, supplemented by Cabernet Franc. The perfect accompaniment to roasted meats and game.
Tasting
On the palate, it is enveloping and warm, with mature tannins and an intense yet slender sip. Exceptionally balanced between alcohol and freshness, it finishes persistently, with captivating minty notes.
