以宜宾的五粮之精华酿制而成的玉液。宜宾紫色土上所种植的高粱，属糯高粱种，所含淀粉大多为支链淀粉，是五粮液独有的酿酒原料。而五粮液筑窖和喷窖用的弱酸性黄粘土，粘性强，富含磷、铁、镍、钴等多种矿物质，尤其是镍、钴这两种矿物质只有五粮液培养泥中才有微弱量，这是其它酒厂所不具备的。作为香浓的大曲酒的典型代表，五粮液是天地人间精华的集合体。 五粮液酒采用传统工艺，由宜宾的玉米、大米、高粱、糯米、小麦，五粮之精华酿制而成，其独特之处在于具有“持久香气， 醇香甜美的口感，和谐正当的风味”，使其在当今的酒类产品中脱颖而出。
Liquor brewed with the essence of Yibin five grains. The sorghum grown on the purple soil of Yibin belongs to the species of waxy sorghum. Most of the starch contained in it is amylopectin, which is Wuliangye unique brewing material. The weakly acidic yellow clay used by Wuliangye for building cellars and spraying cellars is highly viscous and rich in many minerals such as phosphorus, iron, nickel, and cobalt, especially nickel and cobalt.
