Tasting Notes: Deep and intense ruby red color. On The nose there are aromas of ripe black fruit, sweet tobacco and spice, all perfectly ingrated. The palate enveloping and rounded, with a sensation of freshness, refined tannins and long finish.
It is a Cabernet Sauvignon with a percentage of Cabernet Franc, which the winemaker from the Aurelio Montes Jr. winery stands out as a Petit Montes Alpha M, the first great icon wine of the house.To make this new edition, the grapes come from the Apalta and Marchigüe valleys and the wine was aged for 12 months in French oak (80% of first use, 20% of second use).
Montes Alpha is a cult Chilean wine, an ambassador for Chile, which has already become a legend.
Aurelio Montes, founding partner of Viña Montes, highlights this. “The first harvest of Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon (1987) was the first premium wine in Chile. And all its specimens have been evaluated with Top Scoring and Best Value in the Wine Spectator magazine, a true achievement for our wines”.
